FOR THE HOLISTIC TREATMENT OF PAIN & DISEASE & TO BOOST IMMUNITY
Hijama Cupping is an excellent form of preventative and curative therapy. Below are some of the ways cupping helps:
- It boosts the circulatory and immune systems
- Cleanses and detoxifies the body
- Treats illness and relaxes the patient
- General pain
Hijama Cupping Therapy essentially detoxifies and cleanses the body, by drawing toxic blood from the body. This produces new blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Cupping is also useful to treat muscular and skeletal issues.
What is Hijama?
Hijama Cupping Therapy is a therapeutic treatment practiced for over 5,000 years. It spread to many nations around the world over time including China, Africa, Russia, Middle East, Central, South East, South Asia and Europe, USA. The first documented records of its practice were found in the 19th century; the “Ebers Papyrus” originated from Egypt.
Hijama, also commonly known as ‘Cupping’ is a prophetic method of curing and preventing disease and illnesses. Hijama, in Arabic is derived from ‘hajm’ which mean ‘sucking’. Al-Hajjaam means the cupper, hijaamah is the profession of cupping, and the word ‘mihjam’ is used to describe the vessel in which the blood is collected and the lancet used by the cupper. Hijama is also commonly known as ‘Cupping’. Hijama refers to the extraction of blood from key point in the body by the mean of cupping using a suitable vessel or whatever modern equipment serves the same purpose.
What does a Hijama session consist in?
Your first session will generally consist in an in depth consultation, a therapeutic needs assessment together with an introduction to cupping. You must start with this session before accessing other packages as this is where we will define any treatment plan based on your personal condition and needs.
Depending on what treatment you decide to go for you can benefit from :
- Moving cupping (part of dry cupping method) : Oil is applied to allow the cup to be moved over the body with suction providing you with a massage. It is very relaxing and helps the blood flow and relax the muscles.
- Fixed cups: One or more cups are placed on special points over your body. The suction (like a vacuum but with a hand pump) is then done on each cup. The cups can be fixed from 5 min to 20 minutes depending on treatment.
- Wet cups also known as Hijama: This is the same as Dry Cupping but with small scratches administered under the cup to extract toxic blood. This is the most effective treatment.
A session may use a mix of all of these techniques.
